WOW! It sure has been a long time since we posted. Our life has changed a bit since then. Mike found a job in the Middleton, WI area in May. So we have been busy trying to figure out how to make a smooth transition there. We are VERY excited to be around family and friends again. We love it here in CO but our hearts have been in WI for some time now. Mike started his job June 19th and Hannah and Jill are heading east July 9th. They have been taking care of packing the house, getting work done to get the house ready to sell, and of course catching friends for play dates. It has been a learning experience and look for posts in the weeks to come of the progress on the house, the play dates, and more.
This post is a combination of 18 month pictures and our trip to Door County. Hannah is learning how to become more and more independent everyday. She has learned the concept of "mine" which mom and dad are having a hard time with. She also says things are "Hannah's" too. She has started to do the "moon walk," or walk backwards which is fun to see. She is little miss copy cat when it comes to repeating words. So we really need to start watching what we say. She has really started to master the spoon and is getting better at the fork too. She likes to eat and seems to be enjoying all the fresh fruit lately. She loves her milk, or as she calls it "ilk".
She had her 18 month well check before we left for our trip to WI and she weighted 21 lb 8 oz and was 31 1/2 inches. She checked out in everything. We were very bummed to say good bye to our pediatrician here. Dr. Dan and Dr. Clare were amazing. They really helped us feel at ease as 1st time parents.
We had a lovely time in Door County. The weather was workable, we had some nice days and then some days that reminded us to slow down a bit. It was so great to get away and spend a week with Jill's family and Mike's mom. It was fun to see Hannah interact with her cousin Grant. We are looking forward to the future with those two. We have tried to pick some pictures that highlighted some of the things we did. So enjoy!
