Weekend With Matt

Children's Museum

We had a gorgeous day for the Children's Museum. It was fun to see Hannah show Uncle Matt all the things she likes to play with at the museum. Ben is starting to be able to do more and more each time we go. We went to the Old Fashion for lunch. YUMMY!

Ben explored the wooden toys.
We had to use the " Yuck Bag" a lot.
Ben put lots in his mouth!

Hannah made some Kool Aid for all of us.

Hannah had fun in the build a town exhibit.
This is one we tend to usually skip.
We are not sure why.

our table for lunch.

The Zoo
We ventured to the zoo on Saturday. It was a beautiful day for November. We met our good friends the Petersons there. The kids had fun looking at the animals. The biggest disappointment, the carousal and train were closed. I guess that means another trip soon.

I am getting big.

Ben had fun sitting forward checking
everything out.

Hanging out
After the zoo, everyone came over and hung out. The kids had fun playing dress up. And the adults had a nice time catching up. We ordered pizza for supper.

Breakfast on Sunday
We all went to breakfast before we had to say good bye to Uncle Matt. We had such a fun weekend. It was so nice to be around family and friends. We hope it will not be too long until we see Uncle Matt.

7 months

Ben has had a busy month. He keeps us on our toes that is for sure. Here are just a few of the things that he has done this month.

1. ARMY CRAWLING: EVERYWHERE! He especially likes to see what he can get away with. It does not take him long to get where he wants to be. HE new favorite toy is the stereo. One afternoon we had to take him away 5 times before he finally gave up. We now know what still needs to be baby proofed.

2. PULLING UP: He has started to try and pull up on most things his level. He still is working on the couch. We love it when he turns around with a big smile to show off his new move.

3. TRICK OR TREATING: His first trick or treating was a little cold. But he was a trooper.

4. CROUP: This month he had his first bout with Croup. It was a rough first night but luckily we had a doctor's appointment scheduled so it worked out nice.

5. CONQUERED PUFFS AND CHEERIOS: He also loves to eat all the vegetables he has tried. We are now onto fruits. He has done apples so far. He licks them up.

6. BLOWS BUBBLES

7. VISIT FROM UNCLE MATT: Last weekend we got to see Matt, he came to visit. Ben had a lot of fun showing him how he has changed since the summer.

8. HITTING ("Patting") WITH HIS LEFT HAND: He pats with his left hand on everything. Only the left, what does that mean? Do we have a lefty on our hands?

9. BADGER GAME: Ben went to the his first Badger intersquad game.

Halloween Week

This year we celebrated Halloween all week. We went to a pumpkin patch, dressed up for story time, carving pumpkins into jack o lanterns, played in the leaves with friends, decorated cookies, and of course trick or treated.

Look at all these pumpkins!

This one looks perfect!
