Hannah sure is getting to look and act more and more like a toddler everyday. She loves walking on her own, sitting in big people chairs and exploring her new independence. She still has a love for purses and the outdoors. She adores dogs and other animals that move.
Hannah has gone poop on the potty three times so far. She has not peed but we seem to catch her just in time to show her what "poop" looks like. We really are not pushing potty training but we thought it does not hurt to try encourage her as much as we can. We are very excited every time she does something on the potty.
We have had a pretty nice spring where the weekends have been filled with warmth and sunshine. One Sunday we took a trek to Koelbel library from out house which was about 7.5 miles. Hannah did awesome in her stroller until about a block away from home, then she had had it. We do not blame her, by then we all had had it. We stopped for an ice cream treat in the middle of the trek. We also have been able to have a picnic in our backyard and play in the green space between other town houses. Hannah loves to try and blow bubbles and play with different kinds of balls.
This month she had a play date with her friend Giada. Giada came over to play and have lunch with Hannah. The girls are starting to really have fun interacting together. They had a blast taking out every toy Hannah has. It is always a great reminder having Giada over to see what life would be having kids a year apart.
Hannah says a lot and it is hard to keep up with all the new sayings. She has grasped the concept of yes and no and let's us know when she wants something and when she does not. She usually says "ya ya" for yes. She knows most of the animal sounds and can repeat them back to you if you ask. She loves books and when she goes to bed she will say, " book, blankie, milk." I guess she knows the routine.
Hannah says Rockies anytime she sees a baseball game on TV. Mike has her hooked already.
She was sick this month with a stomach bug I think caught the whole day care. We were home with her 2 1/2 days. She was a trooper through it all. If you were not changing her diapers, you probably would not have known she was sick.
This coming month is the end of th year for Jill. Plenty to do and lots going on. We look forward to more adventures with Hannah too.
